這兩年，隨著 ChatGPT 普及，MBA 申請也正式進入 AI 時代。現在很多申請者問我的第一個問題，不再是「essay 要怎麼寫？」，而是：
- 可以用 ChatGPT 腦力激盪 essay 嗎？
- 可以請 ChatGPT 幫忙潤稿嗎？
- 如果用了 AI 工具，學校會知道嗎？
- 到底哪些 MBA 可以用 AI？哪些不行？
隨著生成式 AI 工具越來越普及，越來越多 MBA 也開始制定 AI 使用規範。有些學校允許適度使用，有些要求完整揭露，也有些學校直接禁止使用 AI 撰寫 essay。
因此，現在申請 MBA，多了一件重要的事情：除了寫好 essay，也要確認自己的做法符合各校規定。
申請 MBA 可以用 AI 工具嗎？
其實在我看完學校針對申請文件寫的 AI 相關規定後，發現答案並不是「可以」或「不可以」。幾乎所有 top MBA 都會要求申請者繳交「原創」的申請文件，大部份學校並沒有全面禁止 AI，而是採取「可以使用，但必須誠實，而且不能取代申請者本人」的態度。
意思是，即使學校允許使用 AI，Adcom 最在意的仍然是：Is this really your story?
MBA 的 essay 本來就是用來了解申請者的重要方式，如果整篇文章充滿 AI 的語氣，甚至連故事都是 AI 虛構的，那再好的文筆，也很難呈現真正的自己。
也因此，越來越多學校要求申請者誠實揭露，像是說明是否使用 AI？在哪個階段使用 AI？這代表 AI 已經不是灰色地帶，也不是不能談的話題，而是正式成為 MBA 申請流程的一部份。
申請時如何運用 AI 工具？
大家都知道要用 AI，但「會用」跟「用得好」是兩件事，這兩年我也會跟學生討論他們用 AI 的方式，今年錄取 MIT 的學生 James 跟我說，他一開始跟 AI 腦力激盪寫出來的 essay，AI 當時還告訴他：「這是一篇接近滿分的 essay。」，結果交給我後，我只回了兩個字：重寫。(推薦閱讀：A2GMAT x Sabina 2026 錄取生分享會：Harvard、MIT、Berkeley、Ross 錄取生分享，今年錄取者都做對了哪些事？)
其實，我當時完全不知道那篇 essay 是 AI 寫的，但閱讀的第一時間，就感覺文章少了 James 自己的聲音。這也讓我更確信：AI 可以幫你把文章寫得更順，但很難幫你寫出真正屬於你的故事。
我問了這兩年錄取的學生們，大部份在申請時，還是把 AI 當成潤稿的工具，原因無他，就是覺得如果指令下得不夠明確， AI 給出來的資訊還是過於普通，AI 可以讓文章更流暢，但要讓你的故事，傳達你想給的訊息，還是需要靠自己。

從 MBA 顧問角度，我怎麼看 AI？
擔任 MBA 申請顧問第14年，面對 AI 的崛起，我反而把它當成一個好的合作夥伴，一起幫助學生交出更完整的申請文件。
我覺得目前 AI 很擅長告訴你「可以寫什麼」，但它很難告訴你「哪些內容不要寫」。像是以下幾點：
- 哪些故事在 Adcom 眼中早已看過無數次？
- 哪些內容沒有真正回答到題目？
- 哪些經驗其實比你現在想到的更值得寫？
- 哪些內容反而會扣分？

AI 可以提升寫作效率，但真正決定一篇 essay 是否有說服力的，從來不是文筆，而是故事本身，以及你如何把故事說好。（同場加映：Sabina 顧問十年回顧：本世紀最重要的能力 – storytelling、問對的問題，請你享受這段 MBA 的申請過程！）
至於哪些部份，我會鼓勵學生善用 AI 呢？建議大家可以用來研究各校特色（但永遠要去查證學校官方網站）、整理思緒或建立 essay 架構、潤飾 essay 文法及修改語句的流暢度。
建議第一版 essay ，不要就直接交給 AI 來寫，原因很簡單，當第一版是 AI 寫出來時，後面再怎麼修改文章，都是在 AI 的框架下進行，最後寫出來的文章，也容易留下 AI 的痕跡。
近年已有不少學校表示，他們會透過各種方式判斷 essay 是否大量仰賴 AI 工具。雖然無法確定各校採用哪些工具或流程，但可以確定的是，Adcom 越來越重視申請內容是否真實反映申請者本人。因此，我會建議先自己寫 essay ，再請 AI 協助潤稿。（延伸閱讀：AI 是未來的商業語言！盤點歐美那些把 AI 放進核心課程的 MBA！）

FAQ：MBA 申請 AI 使用常見問題
Q1. ChatGPT 可以幫忙寫 MBA essay 嗎？
可以，但不建議直接讓 ChatGPT 完成第一版 essay。
目前大多數 Top MBA 並沒有全面禁止使用 ChatGPT，而是強調申請文件必須是申請者本人真實的想法與經驗。你可以利用 ChatGPT 腦力激盪、整理架構或潤飾文法，但真正的故事、觀點與反思，仍應該來自你自己。
Q2. 哪些 MBA 禁止使用 ChatGPT？
大部分商學院並沒有完全禁止使用 ChatGPT，而是要求不能由 AI 代替你完成 essay。
不過，各校規定仍有差異，例如：
- Stanford GSB：明確表示，不得由他人或 AI 工具代寫 essay，違反者可能直接取消申請資格。
- NYU Stern：要求 essay 必須完全由申請者本人撰寫。
- Harvard Business School、Wharton、Columbia、Kellogg 等學校則允許有限度使用 AI，但要求內容仍必須是申請者本人完成，部分學校也要求揭露 AI 的使用方式。
因此，申請前務必查看各校最新的 AI Policy。
Q3. 使用 ChatGPT 需要向學校揭露嗎？
視學校規定而定。
近年已有不少商學院要求申請者說明是否使用 AI，以及 AI 在申請過程中扮演的角色。如果學校有要求揭露，就應誠實說明。
Q4. Adcom 會知道 essay 是 AI 寫的嗎？
沒有人能確定各校使用哪些工具或審查流程，但許多商學院已公開表示，會透過不同方式判斷申請文件是否大量依賴 AI。
例如 Wharton 就提到，可能使用自有或授權的 AI 技術，協助辨識申請文件中的 AI 生成內容；若被標示，招生委員會進一步進行人工審查，而不是僅依賴系統判斷。
因此，比起擔心 AI 能不能被偵測，更重要的是確保 essay 真實反映你的經驗與思考。
Q5. ChatGPT 可以幫忙準備 MBA 面試嗎？
可以。
例如，今年錄取 Harvard Business School 的學生，就曾利用 ChatGPT 扮演不同商學院的面試官，根據各校風格模擬問題，再反覆練習回答。
除了模擬面試之外，ChatGPT 也很適合用來：
- Brainstorm 回答方向
- 整理 STAR 故事架構
- 練習英文回答
- 提供回饋與建議
不過，真正面試時最重要的，仍然是自然表達自己的想法，而不是背誦 AI 幫你寫好的答案。
Q6. 身為 MBA 顧問，你最推薦如何使用 AI？
如果只能給一個建議，我會說：先自己寫，再請 AI 幫忙。
AI 很擅長提升效率，但真正讓 Adcom 印象深刻的，從來不是完美的文法，而是真誠且有深度的故事。AI 可以幫助你把故事說得更流暢，但只有你自己，才能告訴 Adcom：你是誰，以及為什麼是你。
TOP MBA 的 AI Policy（2026 最新）
- AI 官方規範：Have you utilized AI in completing the application? Note, the use of AI is permitted; however, you should not claim AI output as your own independent work, and you should always verify the quality of concepts and content that you develop through the use of generative AI tools. If you select ‘yes’ you are prompted with: In accordance with HBS student policy, you must cite your sources. Please indicate below in what manner you have utilized AI in completing this application, and in which sections. (75 words max)
📌 Stanford GSB
- AI 官方規範：It is improper and a violation of the terms of this application process to have another person or tool write your essays. Such behavior will result in denial of your application or revocation of your admission.
📌 U Penn Wharton
- AI 官方規範：The Wharton School of Business embraces the use of generative AI technology and sees it as an important tool for business leaders in this rapidly changing world. While we believe that generative AI will continue to provide utility to all students, your work contained within this application must be your own. We recommend applicants treat generative AI as you would the guidance or writings of another person – as it is unacceptable to have another person substantially complete a task like writing an admissions essay, it is also unacceptable to have AI substantially complete the task. The Wharton School requires that the work in your application must be completely accurate and exclusively your own, and may use its own proprietary and/or licensed AI solutions in order to identify AI-authored elements of applications. Any such flagging will result in a more holistic investigation of an application.
- AI 官方規範：Columbia Business School requires that the work contained in your application (including essays) is completely accurate and exclusively your own. 📌 NYU Stern
- AI 官方規範：Your essays should be written entirely by you. An offer of admission will be revoked if you did not write your essays.
📌 Michigan Ross
- AI 官方規範：Ross graduate admissions recognizes the appropriate use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools for providing guidance and suggestions. If you use Artificial Intelligence (AI) software in the creation of your essay answers, you are required to use the APA in-text citation “Personal Communication.” Rule: (Communicator, personal communication, Month Date, Year); example: (OpenAI, personal communication, September 1, 2024).
📌 Duke Fuqua
- AI 官方規範：All essays are scanned using plagiarism detection software. Expressing your ideas by using verbiage from existing sources, including websites and other applicants’ essays or materials, or having someone else compose your essays, without properly crediting those sources, constitutes an act of plagiarism. Plagiarism, an act of theft and fraud, is considered a cheating violation within the Honor Code and will result in an application denial. If you have worked with a consultant or used any form of Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to support the completion of your application materials, the expectation is that the work submitted is authentically yours and is a true and factual reflection of who you are and what you have experienced. Falsely representing yourself or providing misleading information in any part of the application is considered an honor code violation.
📌 Yale SOM
- AI 官方規範：Your application should reflect your true abilities, experiences, and aspirations. We advise you to employ AI only in ways that support, not compromise, the authenticity and originality of your submission. If you choose to use AI assistance for written materials, approach it the same way you would ask a friend or colleague for help in brainstorming topics, organizing thoughts, providing feedback, or offering input on grammar, style, and other minor edits. AI-generated content shouldn’t be the primary source of your essay content. Your own voice and ideas should be at the forefront. If you are considering using AI tools to script the spoken components of your application – in a word: don’t. Our video questions and interview are intended to create spontaneous opportunities for you to articulate yourself. Reading from a script or relying heavily on notes never goes well, and it won’t go well in your video questions or interview either.
